Stacey & Josh’s Montsalvat wedding was romantic and modern with a hint of Tuscan elegance. Montsalvat was the perfect venue for them to sip cocktails around the pool with their most beloved friends and family.
Josh and Stacey met back in 2012 whilst traveling. A Contiki tour and one rogue passport was all it took for this romance to start. With their shared love of traveling these two have been around the world and even got engaged in New York.
We met Josh back in 2014 at RMIT where he studied photography with Storm. So it was pretty special when both Stacey and Josh asked us to shoot their wedding. We have loved Josh and Stacey from day dot and their wedding was a rather special one for us!
We started the day with the Josh and his groomsmen capturing those morning rituals.
We then headed off to Stacey to capture her and her best ladies. We were particularly excited to see their doggy Louie whom we use to puppy sit!
Montsalvat is an artists’ colony in Eltham and makes for a spectacular wedding venue. A truely unique slice of architecture and history. It’s the perfect venue to host your wedding!
Stacey and Josh wanted their friend to perform the ceremony as they had previously filled our all the paper work on a previous day.
The ceremony was filled with an abundance of love and emotion. Both Stacey and Josh wrote their own vows which was so personal and captivating.
We always recommend getting family photos straight after the ceremony. We often choose to do family photos in the spot where the ceremony took place as long as the light is doing what we want.
Stacey and Josh’s reception was held by the gorgeous pool area at Montsalvat. It was an absolutely stunning spot to sip cocktails and catch up with those they love the most.
Canapés and drinks were served throughout the evening in a cocktail style reception. This was a lovely relaxed approach to a reception and gave everyone the chance to mingle.
We opted for an additional sunset shoot with Stacey and Josh. This was absolute magic, although there wasn’t much of a sunset on the day, we were still able to have fun and get some great snaps of the stacey’s outfit change.
After the sun went down these two partied late into the night!
